All you need for this prank is a computer. This is also a great prank if you can’t get to your target in person.

HOW TO DO IT:

• We are going to send a fake email celebrating how your target has won a sweepstakes or other surprise award.

• To start, think about something the particularly like. Trips to Disney? Cruises? A particular game show? If you aren’t sure, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

• Create a fake email account. We recommend Gmail. Be sure to make a name associated with the account that mimics a person who might give out a prize: “Disney Sweepstakes” or “Cruise Award Winners.”

• Craft an email describing a fake thing they have won. A trip? Tickets? In some cases, we have only written a subject line and a couple sentences before disclosing that they are being pranked. But you can be more elaborate if you think the target can handle the disappointment.

• Feel free to send the email any time on April Fools day.

• If you don’t have an idea in mind, here’s one:

From: Mr. Beast Producer Staff

Subject: Congratulations!! You have been selected

Body: Hello NAME! Thank you for submitting your application to join Mr. Beast’s show. You have been chosen along with 99 other contestants to participate in his next $1 million game, set to take place May 15 in North Carolina. For your participation, we will provide:

– Two round-trip tickets to Raleigh, N.C.

– A car rental.

– Lodging for three nights.

– Meal vouchers.

– A chance to win $1 million.

To confirm your spot in the game, please reply to this email with a phone number where our producers can contact you. And tell us that this was the best April Fools prank that you have received today.
